The Cake Craft Shoppe, founded by Sheila Brooks in 2000, began as an online store specializing in imported items before opening a physical storefront in Sugar Land, TX in 2003. With 32 years of experience in the field, Sheila transitioned from selling cakes to teaching the art of baking and decorating sweet treats to her customers.

Sheila and her partner Cyndi Benavides have a combined 20 years decorating and selling cakes before opening the store front and dedicating their time to teaching. Over the past 18 years, together they have taught classes both domestically and Sheila had taught internationally.

The shop over the last 3 years has expanded to include the CCS Youth Baking Academy (a 4 year academy for youth's interesting in owning their own business), working with local school districts teaching community education and developing afterschool programs, and developing an online teaching program.

Cake Craft Shoppe has evolved from a small retail store to a business that offers a wide range of supplies and educational programs for both adults and youth.
