Located in Sugar Land, Texas, Cake Craft Shoppe serves the greater
Houston metropolitan area including: Aldine, Alief, Alvin, Bellaire,
Clear Lake, Cy-Fair, Deer Park, Dickinson, El Campo, Friendswood,
Galveston, Humble, Katy, Kingwood, League City, Manvel, Meadows Place,
Mission Bend, Missouri City, Needville, Pasadena, Pearland, Richmond,
Rosenberg, Seabrook, Spring, Stafford, Texas City, The Woodlands,
Tomball, Webster and Wharton.
Students come from out of town and out of state to take classes at Cake
Craft Shoppe! In addition to teaching basic through advanced cake decorating
classes, we are also pleased to provide a number of guest instructor classes
each year that are taught by top sugar artists from around the world! Our
traveling students who need lodging should

Payment is required in advance to reserve your space in a class. Full
payment must be received two weeks prior to class start date. However,
new students are accepted after that date, pending class space
availability.
If you cancel before the deadline date (two weeks prior to class), the fee
is refundable or can be transferred to another class.
After the deadline date, the fee is not refundable or transferable.

basket weave and lattice to their designs.

skills consisting of ruffles, embroidery, lace and string work, to decorate
a tiered or stacked cake. The course will also include how to properly
support and transport your creation home.

Introducing the PME
Professional Diploma Course - "A Professional Course for Professional
People!" If you have ever wanted to start your own cake decorating business,
this course is for you! Cake Craft Shoppe is an Authorized Retailer
of PME Professional Courses. Sheila Brooks is an authorized and approved
Instructor for the PME Professional Courses. The Diploma Course is
broken down into three modules: Rolled Fondant, Sugar Flowers, and Piping
Techniques. Each module is 1 week long, 25 hours per week. Each module will
cover basic techniques and creative styling for its subject matter, plus the
basics of owning and running your own business! Each module is a complete
and separate course. A PME Professional Diploma will be awarded upon
completion of each module. It is not essential to complete all three
modules. However, a Masters Certificate will be awarded upon completion of
all three modules! The modules do not have to be taken in any particular

This course will cover tools and equipment, preparing the cake, crumb
coating the cake, covering the
cake (real and dummy). Students will learn how to decorate fondant cakes
using borders, various drapes, brush embroidery, ruffles, lace and pearls.
We supply the cake and icing for this course. The student will learn to
construct this cake using buttercream icing, as well as fondant. The
technique of crumb coating the cake before applying the fondant covering
will also be taught. We will also provide candy clay and teach students how
to make decorations with this medium.
